David Ricchiute is the author of a story collection, Keeping What’s Best Left Kept Secret; two poetry collections, most recently Uncertain in the Worst Way; and fiction and poetry in NOON, The Quarterly, The Massachusetts Review, Tampa Review, The Louisville Review, The American Journal of Poetry, and POEM, among others. An emeritus professor at the University of Notre Dame, he was from 1994 to 2018 the university’s first Deloitte Professor of Accountancy. At Notre Dame, he authored a textbook, Auditing & Assurance Services (nine editions) and research on professional judgment & decision-making in the Journal of Accounting Research, The Accounting Review, Accounting Organizations & Society, the Journal of Applied Psychology, the Journal of Experimental Psychology, and Organizational Behavior & Human Decision Processes. A line volunteer at the Northern Indiana Center for Hospice Care and Beacon Children’s Hospital Ronald McDonald House, he is the father of two, grandfather of six, and lives with his wife, Jean, in Granger, Indiana and Villa Hills, Kentucky.
